How to order and restock in Mall Rivals
Tab opens Market. Boxes spawn at the door. The corridor is not a warehouse — later builds will refuse the next order if you treat it like one.
Every Mall Rivals shop dies the same way when the shelves go white: you made a sale, you did not replace the SKU, a rival still has tennis balls. Restock is not a menu cheat. You open the tablet, you put boxes in a cart, you wait for a pile, you haul. This page is the how-to-get-stock layer that getting started only sketches on day one.
Open Market, not a mystery vendor
Tab (see controls) opens the tablet. Market lists your store. Click the shop — Ike’s co-op clip called it out as “click your store on the left.” Each product shows a box price. Buttons change how many boxes you want. A Clear Cart control empties the order. That wholesaler screen was rebuilt in the 22 August 2026 release-candidate hotfix to match the tablet, and 1.0 kept the pattern.
You cannot change the order while a purchase is going through. That is a FIX, not a suggestion. Mash less.
Furniture is a different tab from products. Tables, mannequins, racks, and the wall-mounted store monitor are attractiveness tools. They do not restock soccer balls. Order furniture when the till is already working, not instead of SKUs. Pricing still decides whether the new box sells.
Where boxes land
Starter crates spawn at the door. Wholesale orders used to scatter into walls, benches, and other boxes. The RC hotfix made vendor and wholesaler buys stack in a neat pile on the floor. That is a gift. It is also a crime scene if the pile is in the corridor. Security still fines dumped stock. Later builds block new orders when too many boxes sit outside. Read crime and police even if you never steal — the Busted panel is how honest restocks die.
A box you are placing now shows at normal size. You cannot put a box down inside another box, a shelf, or a counter. If the tutorial asked you to stock and the crate is empty, grab from the storage rack, not the hall.
When to order
Mall closed / prep time is the cheap hour. Ike orders “one of everything” after close so the next morning is not a sprint. 1.0 demand shifts daily — “one of everything” is a beginner hedge, not a late-game plan. Check store statistics for what actually pulled people in, then restock that SKU. A shortage event from Comeback is a reason to over-order the trending line, not the whole catalog.
Corridor box limits mean you order in waves: cart, haul inside, cart again. A stocker employee exists so you can stand the register while that happens. Mobility perks exist so the warehouse walk is not the whole day.
Two shops, one wholesale trip
A second license is only cheaper if the restock route is shared. Hardware next to Home Goods, Fashion next to Beauty. The store planner and opening picks are for that. If shop two is a liquor unit on the other floor, you are paying legs as well as the lease. Adjacent floor expansion keeps SKUs in one address.
Hosts can reset abandoned piles after a disconnect. If you are hosting, do it so customer pathing does not orbit a ghost crate.
Loans, casino, and fake restocks
A loan that buys one cart of Pharmacy is a plan. A loan that buys a casino spin is not restock. Workshop textures on empty shelves still look closed. Attractiveness after the Store Overhaul cares about product in the window, not only wallpaper.
Order checklist
- Tab → Market → your store.
- Note box price versus the shelf tag you already set.
- Cart the SKUs that sold, not the ones that looked pretty in the catalog.
- Confirm, wait for the pile, haul inside before you open another cart.
- Assign a stocker if you cannot leave the till.
- If orders refuse to send, count corridor boxes first, then check you are not mid-purchase.
When 1.1 changes the cart, this page moves. Until then, the August 2026 pile-stacking FIX is the difference between a clean storage rack and a ShameTV clip.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers players actually search for in Mall Rivals.
How do I order stock in Mall Rivals?
Press Tab, open Market, select your store, set box counts, and confirm. Haul the pile inside. Details above; controls lists the keys.
Why can't I place a new wholesale order?
Too many boxes in the corridor, or a purchase already in flight. Clear the hall. You cannot edit a cart mid-buy after the August 2026 hotfix.
Do wholesale boxes spawn inside the store?
They stack on the floor near the vendor path, not magically on sale shelves. Carry them. Leaving them in the hall is a fine — crime.
Should I order during the day?
You can. Prep time after close is safer. 1.0 demand still wants you to restock what sold, not the whole catalog.
